[job_card.job_description]Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions and legal codes to prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, or appeals, for use by attorneys Draft routine legal documents for review and use by attorneys Compile and prepare draft discovery responses Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze reports, responses and records produced by opposing counsel Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication with client, claims and full partnership with attorney through end of case Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence Update and maintain internal databases Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation Prepare for depositions Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation Prepare and file all court documents Conduct legal research Schedule meeting for litigation attorney as directed Associate degree Bachelor’s degree preferred ABA-approved paralegal certification with a focus on litigation Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail Resourceful research and analytical skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Planning and organizational skills Deadline-driven Ability to work effectively as part of a team Experience with NC-e filing system and GIS in various counties

Litigation Paralegal
The litigation paralegal provides direct support for the litigation attorney who manages this position. General duties support the entire firm. This position requires at least five years of experience in the field.
General Duties
- Review, read and compile weekly task and store enclosures in client’s virtual folders each week and update weekly lists accordingly
- File all documents received via email, mail or courier in the appropriate files
- Track deadlines on clients file checklists and monitor response deadlines
- Open new file folders to match Clio and set up virtual folders using the same format. (Clio tracks billable hours for invoices)
