We're looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you'll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment.
What You'll Experience
As a Financial Controls Intern at FHLBank, you'll :
- Contribute to the daily operations of the Financial Controls team
- Reconcile daily accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Post daily journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
- Assist with the daily general ledger close process
- Support various ongoing and ad hoc projects
- Participate in initiatives related to accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls over financial reporting
- Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively
- Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study
- Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry
- Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)
