Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to work for a Greater Orange County area biotechnology company.
Salary : $67-80k+ / year depending on experience
Responsibilities :
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciling customer and vendor accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insights to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Prepare documentation and provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure they are in line with budgeted amounts, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
