Keene, NH area :   Part-time, 10 hours per week

Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part Time DSP position in the Keene, NH  area. 10 hours per week during the hours of : Monday through Friday, 4 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 1 : 00 PM to 5 : 00 PM.

Direct Support Professional Responsibilities :

  • Support individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives; such as :   shopping, money management, physical activities, socializing, safety concerns and redirection
  • Support the strengths, gifts and potential of individuals with disabilities
  • Aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals

Direct Support Professional Requirements :

  • support individuals out in the community
  • guidance with healthy meal choices
  • assist with meal preparation
  • assist and guidance with household chores
  • transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
  • continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
  • maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
  • manage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support
  • Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program

    • Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include :

  • a sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.

    • Schedule is flexible, including weekday and / or weekend hours.

    Pre-employment Background Check Requirements : Criminal records, motor vehicle record, Bureau of Adult and Aging Services (BAAS), Division of Child, Youth and Families (DCYF), Office of Inspector General (OIG)
