This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of aerospace hardware and equipment to and from various work centers or departments for various spaceflight systems. This scope will require detailed coordination with cross functional teams to ensure accurate compliance with work orders and efficient movement of parts, materials, consumables, tooling and equipment in support of manufacturing. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of manufacturing and production. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Responsibilities :
- Coordination with all applicable Blue Origin departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material, parts, consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers
- Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center
- Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation / movement
- Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements
- Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate
- Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design / manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process
- Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers
- Participate in production meetings to communicate part status information to management / leadership
- Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to development / refinement of queuing software
- Move hardware safely to all locations in surrounding area. This includes driving a 26' box truck to warehouse, production, and testing facilities and securing loads within vehicle.
Qualifications :
Minimum of high school diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to lift 50 lbs. unassistedLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionWillingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, jib, crane or hoistsMust be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as neededDesired : Excellent communication skills, both written and oralStrong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcExperience with MRP / ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industriesExperience in organizing files and documents
