Registered Nurse- PACU

JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse - PACU is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. This role involves close monitoring of vital signs, managing pain and post-operative symptoms, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during the critical recovery phase. The PACU nurse collaborates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive post-operative care and facilitate smooth transitions to other care units or discharge.\n\nResponsibilities : \nMonitor patients' levels of consciousness and vital signs during recovery from anesthesia^Administer medications for pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms^Assess patients for signs of complications and intervene as necessary^Document patient status, treatments, and clinical findings accurately^Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals^Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and recovery instructions^Prepare patients for discharge once recovery criteria are met^Implement infection control and safety measures^Respond to emergency situations and provide critical interventions
