Payroll Administrator

Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This position is responsible for managing high-volume payroll, processing upwards of 1,000 employees weekly, and handling both hourly and salaried payroll. The Payroll Coordinator will process timesheets through an automated time collection system (with more manual involvement than ADP), prepare tax files for submission to a third-party filing service, and assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 processing. Additional responsibilities include maintaining employee records related to payroll and employer contributions, resolving discrepancies, and supporting statutory tax reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of payroll experience, with a strong background in high-volume payroll processes. Experience with payroll tax and union payroll is highly desirable, and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint is a significant plus. We are seeking someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple payroll systems rather than relying on just one.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, with a focus on high-volume payroll processing.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with union payroll processing is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll systems and operations.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
• Ability to work with complex payroll systems, including manual adjustments.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a significant advantage.
