Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Overview
The PM Baker plays a vital role in bringing The Buttery’s pastries to life each day. Starting late (5pm-1am), you’ll prepare, proof, and bake a variety of products with precision and care, ensuring everything meets our high standards of flavor, quality, and consistency.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and enjoys the rhythm of early-morning production. If you love the idea of starting your day shaping dough, filling the kitchen with the smell of fresh-baked pastries, and being part of a team that makes mornings special for our community, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Production : Prepare, proof, and bake a variety of products, following established recipes and production guidelines.
- Time Management : Execute baking schedules to ensure all products are ready for delivery on time without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance : Monitor and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all baked goods.
- Equipment Operation : Safely operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and other baking equipment.
- Organization & Cleanliness : Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently.
- Problem-Solving : Identify and address any issues during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness.
