Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist for Providence Regional Shared Service is Portland, OR.

Full-Time / Variable

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT / MLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists. Or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts. Or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Laboratory Tech - United States Government.
