ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Opportunity : RN - PICU

Job Details :

Work 3x12-hour shifts with every other weekend required

Float required between cardiac stepdown unit and PICU

Will accept PICU RN and train on CVPICU

Staffing ratios of 1 : 1-2 patients

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

Required certifications : BLS and PALS

Required skills : Telemetry and ventilator experience

Must have Indiana nursing license and certifications in hand to submit

Care for complex heart patients, VAD patients, and heart transplant program patients

Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults

Provide care for neonate-adult congenital heart patients in medical and surgical unit

Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Floating is 100% required for all travelers within hospital or affiliate hospitals

Required skills include chest tube care, ventilated patient care, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insertion and maintenance, and tracheostomy care

Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only

First time travelers accepted

This children's hospital operates a 23-bed Cardiac ICU ranked #5 in the nation and #1 in the Midwest for the past 2 years according to U.S. News & World Report. The facility specializes in caring for complex heart patients and operates a comprehensive heart transplant program. The unit maintains a daily census of 19 patients and provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized lift teams.
