Position summary : The security officer is a key position on our security services team. In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.
• Utilize management of aggressive behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.
• Apply the concepts of awareness, vigilance, avoidance, defense, and escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.
• Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients / visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.
• Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative / aggressive individuals.
• Effectively operate / leverage required security equipment and tools.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to : skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and / or education.
