SUMMARY : Under the direction of the warehouse manager, an order puller is responsible for pulling, from the warehouse, the required product for each individual route on a daily basis. This includes placing the product in designated totes and correctly labeling them, loading the trucks in a timely fashion before the route drivers arrive, and ensuring the integrity and quality of the product before pulling and loading the product. In addition, after all route drivers trucks have been loaded, an order pull is also responsible for putting away incoming product that comes in from suppliers, returning un-used product into appropriate locations within the warehouse, ensuring that the integrity and quality of all products brought into the warehouse from suppliers returned from routes, and making sure the warehouse is clean according to Dependable Vendings standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools / vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, and / or pallet jack.
- Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
- Picks, packs, and ships materials and products.
- Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise.
- Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed.
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
