Job Summary
- The RN-Pediatrics provides direct and indirect nursing care for pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence. This role includes comprehensive assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation in a family-centered care environment. The RN works collaboratively with the healthcare team and families to support optimal health outcomes for children while considering developmental, emotional, and cultural needs.
Essential Functions
Performs assessments and develops individualized plans of care for pediatric patientsAdministers medications, treatments, and performs clinical proceduresMonitors patient conditions and communicates findings to the healthcare teamSupports daily activities including nutrition, hygiene, ambulation, and eliminationProvides age-appropriate education to patients and familiesEnsures accurate documentation of care in accordance with organizational standardsResponds to and manages clinical emergencies effectivelyCollaborates across disciplines to coordinate care and discharge planningAdheres to infection control, safety protocols, and ethical standards of careKnowledge / Skills / Abilities / Expectations

Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), requiredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferredLicenses / Certifications
