Cost Accountant

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA. The Cost Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company's inventory and cost accounting systems. This role is responsible for analyzing gross margins across products, customers, and regions, and for developing cost accounting systems that support strategic decision-making at both executive and operational levels. The position also provides detailed analysis and reporting to support line supervisors, facility managers, and cross-functional teams, helping to drive financial transparency and operational efficiency.

What Will You Do?

Costing & Inventory Control

• Learn and understand the company's manufacturing processes to support accurate cost allocation
• Construct and maintain cost accounting systems to support internal decision-making and external reporting
• Develop and monitor direct labor, materials, equipment, and overhead cost structures
• Establish and update standard costs in the bill of materials as required
• Calculate raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods costs
• Reconcile and validate inventory balances to the sub-ledger and underlying system data regularly
• Create and review cost accounting system controls

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience : 35 years of accounting experience (minimum two years in manufacturing standard and job costing required)
