Assistant Professor of Biology
Annual Salary Range : $61,034.78 — $64,425.60
Westminster University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology, to begin in August 2026. The teaching assignment will include lower-division courses in human anatomy and human physiology and upper-division courses, such as comparative anatomy and physiology, and / or immunology. There is also opportunity to develop upper division courses in the candidates’ area of expertise. We seek an excellent teacher with demonstrated ability to facilitate active student engagement and a commitment to a liberal arts education. We hope to collaborate with an energetic colleague who will participate actively in the work of our program and ongoing development of our innovative curriculum. A Ph.D. degree in biology, or related field, is required. There are also opportunities to develop engaging non-majors courses. We particularly seek candidates who have a strong interest in scholarship, which could include pedagogical research and mentoring students in undergraduate research.
