Oakland County is seeking experienced Application Project Managers to lead the planning, delivery, and ongoing support of IT initiatives across County departments, including implementations and integrations of COTS / SaaS solutions and enhancements to internally developed applications. The PM provides hands‐on leadership over scope, schedule, budget, quality, vendor coordination, and key deliverables while guiding projects through formal RFI / RFP processes and ensuring compliance with technical, security, and governance standards. This role partners closely with business units and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable technology solutions using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methods.

Required Skills and Experiences :

5+ years of application project management experience

Strong communication, presentation, and customer‐relationship skills

Experience with COTS / SaaS implementations and vendor management

Hands‐on creation of requirements, testing plans, and implementation documentation

Familiarity with RFI / RFP processes and cross‐department coordination

Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality using structured methodologies

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Clarity PPM, and Azure DevOps

Ability to ensure adherence to technical, security, and governance standards
