About the Role

MWH is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support, coordinate, and implement quality management standards to maintain excellence in MWH's deliverables. The Quality Control Engineer will confirm that all project work is compliant with MWH and appropriate client standards and meets all specified requirements. This position is critical to implementing effective quality management, ensuring project work is delivered to a high standard that meets the requirements and expectations of client organizations. This position interacts throughout the organization internally.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for a thorough understanding of project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
• Monitor construction quality and support project staff in the performance of day-to-day activities applicable to the Quality Management System.
• Assist multiple project teams with the development of the project site specific quality plans
• Coordinate, schedule, perform, and document perform ongoing quality inspections; verify all completed work complies with applicable permits, codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to create piping and equipment testing plans.
• Troubleshoot and provide input into solving, with engineering, project technical problems / construct-ability issues.
• Provide quality expertise and advice in the proactive resolution of compliance issues (i.e. codes, standards, specifications, and regulations).
• Reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the project which are designed to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Provide job site coaching and guidance on quality reporting and assist with monitoring trends and re-occurring quality issues.
• Maintain relationship with owner, subcontractors, design partners and stakeholders to support project partnering and issue resolution.
• Coordinate project quality training and partnering efforts.
• Support the company quality culture through promoting, recognizing, and rewarding positive quality behaviors.
