Pay : $89,232 - $138,320 / year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary :

Develops and oversees the strategies and administration of the Magnet Program. Achieves and sustains institutional Magnet designation.

Responsibilities :

• Plans and executes the delivery of the Magnet program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization.
• Develops the Magnet program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement. Interprets and analyzes data for performance improvement. In collaboration with nursing leadership, develops short- and long-term range strategies to address deficiencies.
• Communicates effectively to diverse audiences. Inspires and influences interdisciplinary team members to achieve a shared vision. Understands complexities of the patient care environment.
• Leads professional governance activities and assists with dissemination of best practices. Executes nurse recognition and nurse retention initiatives. Facilitates committees, councils and workgroups.
• Manages program implementation and timelines to achieve program goals while controlling resources, risks, conflicts, timelines and costs. Prepares the annual operating budget for the Magnet program and tracks expenditures and variances.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
