[job_card.job_description]Experience using various kitchen equipment and cutting tools Ability to identify and differentiate food items Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once Ability to read, write, and understand directions Able to work in a fast-paced work environment Ability to communicate effectively and work with management and team members Prior cooking experience is preferred Ability to lift, carry and move objects that may weigh up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend and walk throughout the entire workday Able to withstand extreme temperatures within the kitchen that could range up to 100 degrees Food Handler Certificate; required to be maintained throughout employment
As a Cook you are responsible for performing food preparation while following safe handling policies, procedures, and recipes. The cook also keeps the kitchen organized and running efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including chopping and peeling vegetables
- Prepare food in accordance with recipes including washing, measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Constantly checks food while cooking
- Ensure that all food and other items are properly stored
- Ensure that food is ready for delivery according to schedule
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
