Overview
Responsible for providing administrative support for the agency by performing general office duties
including maintaining adequate stock of supplies needed for staff and patient care. Supports the clinical
manager with managing patient schedules to ensure visits are performed in accordance with ordered
frequencies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Greets visitors in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
- Assists with answering incoming calls from patients, staff, physician offices, referral sources, etc. and transfers caller to the appropriate person or department
- Takes messages when needed and relays to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Selects appropriate clinician for patient assignment based upon patient needs, location of the patient, and skill of the clinician
- Maintains visit data in electronic medical record
Qualifications
High school graduate or GEDValid Nursing license from the state practicing inCurrent CPR certificationMinimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in home healthMinimum of two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment, preferredHome health and / or hospice experienceSound knowledge of the framework, organization and function of home careProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applicationsSolid organizational skills, thoroughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing effectivelyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorBasic clinical skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to develop critical thinking skills, research situations, solve complex problems and deal with a variety of issues
