Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to support our perioperative team. This role helps keep patients and caregivers informed, assists with patient flow, and ensures a positive experience throughout the recovery and discharge process.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Hospitality

  • Greet and assist caregivers upon arrival.
  • Provide updates on patient status.
  • Escort caregivers to Stage 2 recovery when needed.
  • Help maintain a clean and welcoming waiting area.

Patient Flow Support

  • Track patient movement between recovery areas.
  • Keep accurate logs and documentation.
  • Alert nursing staff to delays or if a caregiver cannot be located.

    • Team Support

  • Assist nurses by handling non-clinical communication tasks.
  • Participate in daily huddles.
  • Report any issues affecting patient flow.

    • Qualifications

  • Customer service or hospitality experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of confidentiality / HIPAA.
  • Comfortable working around patients and caregivers.
