Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

VocoVision is partnering with a supportive School District in Maine seeking a dedicated Life Skills Special Education Teacher to begin as soon as possible following an offer and completion of onboarding. Our mission is to Make life better for those who make lives better. This position focuses on delivering functional academics, daily living skills, and individualized support to students with moderate disabilities.

Special Education Teacher Life Skills Program

Job Location : ME REMOTE

Start Date : ASAP

Hours : Full-time, virtual

Caseload : Elementary and / or middle school students in Life Skills / Functional Academics programs

Requirements

2+ years of school-based Special Education experience (Life Skills or Functional Academics preferred)

Active Maine SPED teaching certification (K12 or 282 endorsement required)

Bachelors degree in Education, Special Education, or related field

Comfort with adaptive curriculum, IEP development, and functional / life skills instruction

Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with families and support staff
