Purpose of Job

The Sales Associate provides fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. This role maintains the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable. They will also make deliveries and test / install car batteries.

Job Components

• Provide fast and friendly service.
• Actively seek out and take an interest in customers.
• Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with customers.
• Ask open-ended questions in order to determine customer needs.
• Is knowledgeable about products.
• Advise customers about member benefits, promotions, and sales while answering questions about merchandise.
• Describe features and benefits of merchandise.
• Drive sales by discussing available options (good, better, best) and suggesting related items.
• Set and achieve personal sales goals.
• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Ensure store is in stock, clean, and shoppable.
• Manage financial transactions.
• Test and install batteries including car / truck batteries.
• May use company vehicle to make local deliveries.
