Department Overview

Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

This position is part of the Gas Distribution Operations Business Analysis team which is responsible for providing accessible, timely and actionable operational, financial and compliance insights through reports, dashboards and presentations and leading or supporting process improvement initiatives to meet company and organizational objectives.

Position Summary

Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re?engineering, change management, communication and training. This position location is flexible within the Bay Area.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case?by?case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is :

Bay Area Minimum : $82,000

Bay Area Maximum : $124,000

California Minimum : $78,000

California Maximum : $118,000

Job Responsibilities

• Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options.
• Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes.
• Understands business needs, develops new reports and performs custom / ad?hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
• Performs basic research internally and externally.
• Communicates with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
• Participates on project teams.
• May develop and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards and / or serve as administrator of SharePoint sites.
• Travel within the service territory up to 20% of the time.
