We are seeking a Floor Technician to join our community committed to delivering outstanding services to our residents, associates, visitors, and families. As a Floor Technician you will play an important role in the ensuring the community visibly meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do :
- Cleans, mops and treats floors; strips, waxes and buff floors.
- Mixes, dilutes housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.
- Vacuums all hallway floors, cleans all carpeted areas using extractions machine. Treat and clean spills and stains as needed.
- Cleans windows and light fixtures.
- Keeps utility storage rooms and equipment room in good order.
- Empties trash containers located in trash rooms as needed.
- Makes minor repairs and adjustments; replaces light bulbs, repairs clogged sinks, commodes and drains.
- Assists in moving furniture and equipment.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good order.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws. Maintain compliance with all agency regulatory guidelines and requirements.
What you'll bring :
Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Ability to make self clearly understood by others.Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.Basic knowledge of cleaning requirements and cleaning agents.Ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or a small amount of force continuously to move objects.Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, pushes, pulls, handles, stands, walks over 75% of shift.Ability to learn to adjust and operate electric-powered cleaning equipment. Ability to work with hand tools.Ability to make small repairs to plumbing fixtures.Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate wand work with other employees.Ability to work under close supervision performing routine standardized tasks.Ability to comply with Patient rights, all regulatory requirements, and all company policies and procedures as stated now and in the future.The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the essential functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.
