[job_card.job_description]1 year of hospital inpatient experience Graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy. Valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license. Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) BLS / CPR certification. NRP and ACLS strongly recommended
Respiratory Therapist Hospital
Night Shift 6 : 30a-6 : 30p
Responsibilities
Assesses patient's respiratory needs, plans care, and implements all aspects of respiratory therapy including :
- Mechanical ventilation; invasive and non-invasive.
- Breathing therapy and patient assessment.
- Postural drainage, percussion and bronchial hygiene techniques.
- Bedside pulmonary function.
- Blood gas puncture and analysis, blood gas analyzer operator maintenance and quality control.
- Responds to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations. Performs CPR.
- Emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients.
