Job Summary :

The Tier 1 Computer Assembly Technician is responsible for accurately building orders within specific timeframes. This position requires maintaining a consistent communication line with their trainer and being able to follow written or verbal instructions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Work as part of a team assembling computer hardware

Read and understand bill of materials (BOMs) and part numbers

Understand and be familiar with all of the Manufacturing processes and materials including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and manufacturing software

Use build guides, integrate computer components into a variety of computers

Perform repairs and triaging on the assembly line and report breakdowns in a timely manner to the Quality Manager

Work with imaging software to update BIOS, load drivers, and operating systems

Follow and be knowledgeable of ESD safety procedures

Understand and follow 5S procedures

Job Requirements and Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required

Basic knowledge of computer systems, components, and of basic electronics theory

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to recognize moderately complex problems and take responsibility for resolving them

Detailed oriented

Quick learner
