The Otis Service Center Sheet Metal Shop is looking for a CNC Operator to join our team. This shift is from 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM. Duties include setting up and operating multiple HASS mills, as well as performing minor powder coating tasks. The Sheet Metal Shop is responsible for engraving, beveling, and producing lower-level parts for mechanical assemblies. The candidate must be a team player committed to continuous improvement, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Adhere to assigned work schedule, including start time and annual inventory. Adhere to Otis' Absolutes : Safety, Ethics, and Quality.

Education

The successful candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent. A certificate from a trade school is preferred.

Experience / Qualifications

• Candidate should have knowledge and understanding of basic machining skills.
• The individual should possess a positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Welding Experience preferred
• Ability to independently set up machines for production use.
• Ability to read and interpret programs, prints, and setup sheets.
• Must understand cutting speed and feed rates for tooling and materials.
• Must be able to read and use a variety of inspection tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Able to accommodate changes in production and work schedules to meet deadlines
• Ability to adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Minimum of 1- 2 years' operating a CNC mill preferred, and welding experience

Physical Requirements

Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Walking, balancing, climbing, standing, twisting / turning, bending / stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling / squatting, sitting, reaching above shoulder height, reaching forward, lifting (maximum 50 pounds), carrying, pushing / pulling, handling, feeling, digital dexterity, wrist flexion / extension, power grip, working speed, talking, hearing, seeing (with color vision) depth perception.

If an item weighs more than 50 pounds, the employee must request assistance in lifting and / or use the appropriate crane, forklift, or other lifting devices and / or techniques.

The salary range for this role is $48,000.00-$52,000.00. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
