Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol - Government Facility in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. You will interact with the public and staff, communicate clearly, and respond to situations as needed, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and guidance as needed while on patrol.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and Allied Universal management when required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as directed by site guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
