Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
We are seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at managing both pre-litigation and litigation matters in a fast-paced environment. Our paralegals are essential members of our teamthey support our attorneys, ensure our clients receive exceptional service, and play a vital role in the success of our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury cases, from pre-litigation through trial and settlement.
- Handle pre-litigation case management, including requesting and organizing medical records and bills, maintaining contact with clients and providers, and preparing settlement demand packages.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers to obtain records, liens, and payment information.
- Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, discovery, disclosures, and other court documents in state and federal courts.
- Maintain and organize case files and document management systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Maintain Litigation calendar, coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Summarize medical records, depositions, and discovery responses.
- Manage and monitor deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case calendars.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial binders.
- Draft settlement demands and assist with settlement documentation, disbursements, and case closures.
- Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as needed.
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, including both pre-litigation and litigation case work.Strong knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing requirements in state and federal courts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software (FileVine), and electronic filing systems (e.g., Colorado Courts E-Filing, PACER, CM / ECF).Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple cases and competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism and empathy when interacting with clients.Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Why work for Sloat, Nicholson & Hoover, P.C.?
