Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at managing both pre-litigation and litigation matters in a fast-paced environment. Our paralegals are essential members of our teamthey support our attorneys, ensure our clients receive exceptional service, and play a vital role in the success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury cases, from pre-litigation through trial and settlement.
  • Handle pre-litigation case management, including requesting and organizing medical records and bills, maintaining contact with clients and providers, and preparing settlement demand packages.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers to obtain records, liens, and payment information.
  • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, discovery, disclosures, and other court documents in state and federal courts.
  • Maintain and organize case files and document management systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Maintain Litigation calendar, coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Summarize medical records, depositions, and discovery responses.
  • Manage and monitor deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case calendars.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial binders.
  • Draft settlement demands and assist with settlement documentation, disbursements, and case closures.
  • Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, including both pre-litigation and litigation case work.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing requirements in state and federal courts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software (FileVine), and electronic filing systems (e.g., Colorado Courts E-Filing, PACER, CM / ECF).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple cases and competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism and empathy when interacting with clients.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
