Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT in a hospital or acute care setting

Current Pennsylvania state licensure for Respiratory Therapists

Strong clinical skills in respiratory therapy and patient care

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and clinical support to hospital patients

Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Conduct patient assessments and adjust respiratory therapies as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of respiratory care services

Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures, equipment, and best practices
