[job_card.job_description]Work in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) within a hospital setting Primarily adult patient population with complex medical and surgical needs Common diagnoses include hemorrhagic and hypovolemic shock, sepsis, ARDS, stroke, intracranial hypertension, and delirium Perform specialized procedures such as external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, mechanical ventilation, heated high flow, BIPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration 12-hour night shifts, three nights per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic experience required Provide high-acuity nursing care to adult medical and surgical ICU patients Manage a range of critical interventions and advanced monitoring devices Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers All time-off requests must be submitted for approval before contracting Current employees of the Ohio State University hospital system are ineligible to travel at this location Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Experience with Epic EMR required Oncology experience preferred but not required First-time travelers are not eligible Two professional references required, one must be from a manager, director, or supervisor in a formal leadership role Former employees must have a 6-month separation before being eligible High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
