Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Cast-On-Strap (COS) Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.This role is responsible for operating and maintaining COS machinery used in the production of lead-acid batteries. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial machine operation, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Set up, operate, and monitor COS machines to cast lead straps and weld them onto battery elements
• Align battery plates and lugs for accurate strap casting and welding
• Adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and quality standards
• Monitor lead temperature, mold alignment, and casting quality throughout the process
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of cast straps using gauges and measurement tools
• Document production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and lead handling procedures
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Utilize operating work instructions, manufacturing orders, and instructions from supervisor or lead to perform production tasks.
