WHAT DO WE DO?

CHSI is a private, non-profit organization established in 1973 to serve the health needs of migrant & seasonal farmworkers and their family members. Today, CHSI has expanded services and provides mental & physical healthcare to all individuals in our communities. Our services are provided on a more affordable sliding fee scale to those who are under-insured or un-insured. We also accept ND and MN Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. We currently operate four nurse-managed clinics, two mobile medical units, and two victim advocacy program centers in Minnesota & North Dakota.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are on the search for a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our Moorhead, MN team. As a Dental Hygienist, your role is to

• Provide superior patient care and service; exhibit outstanding customer service and hospitality as well as chair side manner.
• Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment
• Stay on schedule as much as possible to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for patients; be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times. Educate patient on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as procedures and services; establish / communicate continued care.
• Applying preventive materials to the teeth such as fluorides and sealants
• Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart.
• Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
• Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and / or state laws :
• Screen for Oral Cancer
• Take and record patients' blood pressure accurately
• Take alginate impressions and fabricate whitening trays
• Maintain accurate and legible notes in patients' charts
• Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
