American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring prior travel experience and EPIC proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in a 36-bed Telemetry unit with private rooms serving young adult to geriatric patients

Patient population includes those requiring medical cardiac care and post-cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, stent placement, and pacemaker implants

Patient ratio is 1 : 6

Must float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed

Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00

Every other weekend is required

Telemetry nurses care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions and hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac cases

No travel pairs or group submissions will be accepted

No more than three days of requested time off will be approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation

\n \n Requirements\n

Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum of 2 years' RN experience with previous travel experience required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

EPIC charting system experience required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred

Applicants residing in specified local counties or within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Former permanent staff must have at least a one-year break before returning as a traveler
