Schedule Details : Nights, 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, holiday rotation.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will engage with a diverse patient population including :

Post-operative care for craniotomies and spine surgeries

Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes

Cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques through the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute

What You’ll Do :

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking in patient care

Contribute to a positive patient experience and safety culture

Major Responsibilities :

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care plans

Recognize changes in patient conditions and adjust care accordingly

Implement patient safety strategies and foster readiness to learn

Coordinate discharge planning with interdisciplinary teams

Evaluate patient and team outcomes for continuous improvement

Promote communication and collaboration within the healthcare team

Support shared governance and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements :

Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Completion of an accredited nursing program

1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Ability to provide holistic patient care

Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift and carry specified weights, perform patient transfers, and operate necessary equipment while adhering to safety standards.
