Job Summary

The Outbound Picker / Packer is responsible for accurately selecting products from inventory and preparing customer orders for shipment. This position requires working on your feet for the entire shift while moving efficiently and safely throughout the warehouse. The role plays a key part in ensuring customers receive correct orders on time by following established shipping and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick products using pick tickets, handheld scanners, or voice-picking systems
  • Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit
  • Verify order accuracy and apply appropriate shipping labels
  • Stage completed orders for carrier pickup or internal delivery routes
  • Meet established productivity and accuracy standards
  • Assist with shipping documentation and inventory adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
  • Report shortages, mispicks, or packing issues to the outbound supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in order picking, packing, or fulfillment is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for the full shift
  • Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems and shipping software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus
