- What You Will Do :
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for various data warehouse / business intelligence functions including, but not limited to the following :
- Partners with managers across the firm to build business intelligence and management information in support of business processes and decisions.
- Partners with the technology department, to ensure cost-effective design, development, implementation and maintenance of the wealth management data warehouse platform and reporting capabilities.
- Creates, runs and / or monitors daily data processing updates from / to various third-party vendors and resolve data transfer issues.
- Performs quality control and data validation processes of data housed within the Data Warehouse.Data Collection and validation :
- Establishes, performs and documents procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, validation, standardization and analysis.
- Educates front line data entry individuals on data quality standards and availability of clearing firm and direct to firm customer information.
- Creates various exception and control reports to improve the quality of data
- Coordinates the scheduling, receipt and transfer of data from / to third parties and internal sources; ensuring appropriate transformation into appropriate databases.
- Partners with management and technology teams to assess and improve data warehousing software and hardware solutions.
- Troubleshoots, resolves and escalates, data submission errors and data error issues that impact the business unit databases.
- Coordinates file layout updates from vendors with responsible parties.
- Provides on-going ideas for the improvement of corporate-wide reporting. Strategy, Data Reporting and Analysis
- Serves as leader in “translating” data warehouse information to end user business requirements
- Partners with users throughout the business units to understand their current and future reporting needs and creates plans to meet their needs.
- Prepares ad hoc reporting and analysis for regulators and various functions of the firm as needed i.e. sales management, compliance, operations and finance.
- Coordinates with the technology team on access and use of data sources outside of wealth management, however relevant to the business strategy.
- Creates, schedules and runs user-defined monthly, quarterly and annual data reports for various firm functions that are available on demand through reporting portals and tools.
- Employs a “playing with the data” mentality to lead sessions with senior management on how to define and use data across businesses.
- Develops and maintains a public access and / or limited access data research portal for Executive Management.The position will report to the Business Line Information Systems Officer for Wealth Management.
- Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Analytics, Finance, Business or Engineering
- 5 – 10 years of experience working with financial data
- 5 years - SSIS – SQL Services Information Services
- 5 years - SSRS – SQL Server Reporting Services
- 5 years of experience in a data visualization tool (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx)
- 3 - 5 years of experience with ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes
- Background in the creation and maintenance of databases and business intelligence platforms
- Understands Data Governance Concepts, Data Profiling and external file transfer processes
- Proven ability to lead discussions / sessions and to create deliverables based on stated business objectives
- Ability to translate business objectives into relevant data structures, business intelligence and analytics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collegial team environment across all companies, departments, and disciplines

- The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 - $158,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus.
