Job Title : Principal Engineer

Jobsite Location : Boston, MA 02119

Client HQ Location : New Hampshire

Type of Job : Contract

Project Length : 6 months plus – potential for full-time hire

Visa Requirement : U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join a dynamic investment technology team. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate closely with portfolio managers and analysts to design, develop, and optimize applications and analytical tools that enhance investment insights and decision-making capabilities.

    • Key Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years of professional programming experience using Python
  • Expertise with pandas , NumPy , and related data analysis libraries
  • Strong SQL development and database management skills
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • Must have financial data platforms experience such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, and eFront
  • Practical experience applying Scikit-Learn , SciPy , or cvxpy for statistical and time-series analysis
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain quantitative models, tools, and performance reports
  • Solid understanding of financial markets , investment products , and portfolio construction
