Position Overview :

The Caswood Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in a military hospital in GUAM. This position is for a full year with the potential to extend. This role is critical in delivering life-saving, professional nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide a full range of RN duties including patient assessment, monitoring, triage, and the execution of physician orders.
• Render professional intensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, continually assessing for potential life-threatening crises.
• Recover stable and unstable pediatric patients from general / regional anesthesia and deep sedation.
• Administer a wide variety of rapid-acting medications, including direct IV administration, and monitor patient responses.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and interpret data from sophisticated equipment such as mechanical ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Formulate and implement goal-directed plans of care, involving the patient / family and ensuring an interdisciplinary approach.
• Provide emotional support, patient / family education, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in peer review, performance improvement, and staff development activities.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and concise documentation in both manual and electronic health records (MHS Genesis).
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance to LPNs / LVNs, nursing assistants, and ancillary personnel.
• Be available for on-call coverage on a rotating basis and may provide RN coverage for medical transports of critically ill children.

Contractual Details :

12-hour shifts (0645-1915 and 1845-0715)

On-Call : Required for one shift every 12 weeks on a rotating basis

Holidays : Required to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday shift per year
