Job Description

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : RRT

Shift : Night Shift

Hours per Shift : 18 : 00-06 : 00

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital

License : Kansas State Board of Healing Arts

Certifications : Registered or Certified RT with the NBRC

Must-Have :

Candidates must have NICU experience.

Candidates without this experience will not be considered for the role.

Description :

The unit has a secure and professional atmosphere conducive to patient care.

The team consists of 4-5 respiratory therapists per shift.

Available equipment includes V60, EV300, GE, Servo, Drager ventilators, and AIRVO HFNC.

EMR system used is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed include breathing treatments, ventilator management, intubation assistance, and oxygen management.

Candidates should have strong critical thinking skills.

Experience in ventilator management and acute care settings is preferred.

A patient-focused approach is essential.

Attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holiday shifts as needed.

On-call duties are voluntary only.
