Nutrition Summary : Under immediate supervision, assists with the preparation and serving of meals; performs general duties related to food preparation, serving and cleaning. Acts as cashier and / or computer point of sale meal services system.
Hours : M-F 7 : 00am - 2 : 30 pm
Shift Days : Monday - Friday
Essential Job Functions :
- Helps with food preparation.
- Serves food at appropriate times.
- Serves as cashier and / or point of sale system attendant.
- Cleans and washes cafeteria equipment, dishes, pans, tables and carts.
- Maintains food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Maintains and completes required forms and records accurately, as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assists in taking inventories and record keeping.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES :
Knowledge of :
Following recipes that can include weighing and measuring of ingredientsSafe practices of lifting and moving materials.Basic kitchen equipment and suppliesThe importance of practicing safe food handling, established rules pertaining to personal hygiene and dress code.Portion control and basic units of measure.Basic computer software systemsAbility to :
Follow oral and written directions.Safely operate food service equipment.Meet work schedules and time lines in a fast paced environment.Identify a reimbursable meal on the serving line.Push, carry, and lift large boxes, bags of food and food carts.Work in a standing position for long periods of time.Follow instructions as directed from lead personnel relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personnelstandards, work techniques and methods of performing duties.Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.Lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.AA / EOE
