ARX is seeking a dynamic Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C. or Pittsburgh and drive impactful projects across US and Canada . In this pivotal role, you'll not only apply your technical expertise but also shape the future of our businesssecuring high-profile projects, building strong client relationships, and making a lasting impact. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop design and analysis of complex underground structures, such as tunnels, caverns, and underground transit systems.
  • Develop and review construction plans, drawings, and specifications for underground structures, and supervise the work of junior and mid-level engineers and technicians.
  • Reviews project deliverables for conformity and quality assurance.
  • Interacts regularly with clients and resolves project-related issues.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure that they are in compliance with the design plans and specifications and resolve any construction-related issues which might arise during the project.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to help them develop their skills and expertise in structural engineering for underground structures.

    • Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CSA codes and Canadian engineering standards ( PEng license in Ontario required ).
  • Professional Engineering registration required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mining, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in technical roles on infrastructure / heavy civil engineering. Underground Construction works experience preferred.
  • Ability in FEM modeling and structural verifications of temporary support of excavation, reinforced concrete, and steelwork.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of her / his work time to support projects across North America.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
