SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Counselor for our Family Recovery Center (FRC) in Mastic. The Family Recovery Center provides individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults directly impacted by alcohol and drugs. The Counselor will consult and advocate with outside agencies and other supports, as needed, and facilitate referrals and follow-up on those services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.

CASAC / CASAC-T or related education required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience with substance use disorders required; experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.

Experience working with adolescents and teens may be required.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills required.

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to work closely with referral sources required.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required; Electronic Health Records preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Compensation details : 47000-50000 Yearly Salary
