Warehouse Associate

Shift : 3rd (10pm-6am) Sunday-Thursday

Pay Rate : $20+ .75 Shift Differential

Position Summary : Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which requires an understanding of the Company's storage plan. Work involves most of the following : verifying materials against receiving and shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing material to prescribed storage locations by proper methods to protect material and employee safety; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damages; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate various equipment to station or process material for shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval.
  • Safely operate related machinery and equipment.
  • Properly identify and process paperwork necessary for material handling.
  • Correctly load and unload trucks and verify load with delivery tickets.
  • Properly tag, band, and package material for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Always be helpful and courteous to all customers and employees.
  • Perform other duties as related or assigned for the benefit of the Company.
  • Good attendance is an essential function of this job.

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or GED. Previous shipping and receiving experience helpful. Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Some experience with a forklift and a 10 ton crane is a plus
  • Ability to work as a team member without close supervision to meet Company and personal goals.
  • Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and orders.
  • Able to recognize different colors.
  • Good reading, writing and math skills as measured by a pre-employment test.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of position which are required 95% of the work day (i.e. lifting up to 50 lbs independently, pushing, pulling, standing, climbing).

    • Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $20.75 - $20.75
