CPC Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder I.

Key Responsibilities

Assign correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for services and ensure timely billing and processing

Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations and organizational policies

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned in accordance with regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CCS-P certification required or must be obtained within one year of hire

Proficient knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding

Minimum of one year of professional fee coding experience preferred

Experience with EMR and practice management software required
