One of our clients is looking for an experienced Director of Project Controls based in the Norfolk / Hampton area. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. This person must have at least 8-15+ years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling, and a Primavera P6 Professional Certification is required. VDOT experience is also a requirement.
- The starting salary is between $145K-$175K based on experience, including a company benefits (PTO, Health Insurance, 401K, etc.)
Education

Prepare and maintain :Baseline, target, and recovery schedulesProgress updates and forecastsWhat-if scenarios and risk analysisAnalyze schedule impacts, delays, and acceleration measuresContractual & Claims Knowledge
Solid understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.)Experience supporting Extension of Time (EOT) claimsAbility to prepare delay analysis reports (e.g., impacted as-planned, time impact analysis)Reporting & Coordination
