Certified Nurse Aide - Evening Shift

Job Duties

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients – Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter – provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia’s Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide to work a schedule shift of 3 : 00p.m-11 : 30p.m

CNAs are expected to perform the following duties :

• Assist with meals and escorts residents to the dining hall.
• Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously.
• Complete all required paperwork / computerized documentation for charting assessments.
• Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his / her plan of care and ADL record.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.
