Wayfair Customer Tech Team Quantitative Lead User Researcher
This is a hybrid role based out of our Boston HQ. Candidates will be expected to comply with the team's hybrid schedule (remote Monday / Friday, in office Tuesday-Thursday).
Wayfair's Customer Tech team is responsible for designing, building, analyzing, and managing the entire customer experience on Wayfair's websites and mobile app. This role is for a person that is passionate about users and has a desire to help deliver positive consumer experiences through research.
What You'll Do
As a Quantitative Lead User Researcher you will be empowered to plan and run quantitative (or mixed-method) user research projects end-to-end, including defining clear problem statements, framing project goals and ingoing research assumptions and questions, scoping and selecting the appropriate methods and tools, supporting in recruitment, running / facilitating research activities, analyzing and synthesizing data, sharing and socializing findings, etc. Ultimately, you will influence and persuade cross-functional leaders and more senior partners to act on your findings.
What's Required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the user experience or consumer research field where user research is a core activity
Master's degree in Human Factors, Experimental / Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field and / or commensurate experience
Quant research experience - you will scope and execute on quantitative research plans specifically (you will be the only quant user researcher on the UXR team!) but can expect to leverage mixed methods (and qualitative research at times) to answer key business and product questions
Recruitment experience - you will define & handle UXR study recruitment needs, logistics, scheduling, and incentives
Analysis and storytelling skills - you will need to clearly synthesize and present UXR insights to key stakeholders with actionable takeaways
Collaboration skills - you will collaborate across functions such as Product Design, Product Management, Analytics, Engineering, Commercial stakeholders and more
Proficiency in research, design, and quantitative analysis tools - such as Qualtrics, Userzoom / Usertesting, Figma, R, SPSS
Experience / interest in using AI tooling - you will be expected to leverage AI tech (e.g. Gemini, Gems, Google NotebookLM, Dialogue AI etc) to run your projects more efficiently and to empower others
Product centric mindset your research will be focused on the digital CX and helping product and design to discover and deliver on new opportunities
Design thinking experience / interest - you will run and participate in ideation sessions and design sprints.
