Competitive Cheer - Assistant Coach The ideal
Competitive Cheer Assistant Coach will support the growth and success of our program; demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete development, bring knowledge and passion for the sport, and work collaboratively with the head coach and athletic department.
Qualifications: - Show evidence of skill-set associated with student-athlete and program development.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with student-athletes, staff, and community.
- Prior coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or higher, with evidence of success in team development, and competition.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, faculty, and the broader school community.
- Strong understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Association rules, regulations, and compliance standards. Must ensure all program activities adhere to MHSAA guidelines.
- Committed to the academic and personal growth of student-athletes, supporting them in achieving excellence in the classroom and in competition.
- Able to clearly and effectively communicate with athletes, families, coaching staff, and school administration.
- Ability to manage team operations, including practice planning, equipment management, scheduling, and coordination of travel and logistics
